About The Ship
The New Jersey (BB-62) was launched in December 1942 and commissioned in Philadelphia in May 1943. Over 48 years, New Jersey earned the Navy Unit Commendation for Vietnam service. Nine battle stars for World War II; four for the Korean conflict; two for Vietnam, three Campaign Stars for service off Beirut, Lebanon, and service in the Persian Gulf, prior to Operation Desert Storm.
After its decommission in 1991, BB-62 was later donated on Jan. 20th, 2000, to Camden, N.J.. With a total of Nineteen Battle and Campaign Stars, BB-62 is America’s most decorated battleship and surviving warship.
About the Festival
High Caliber is the world’s first and only bass music festival aboard a US Navy Battleship. The festival takes place over two days and features over 50 artists across three stages.
